Salary: £15,115 - £16,491 + additional responsibility points

Job Description:

  • Provide the highest standard of personal care for young people while on duty, in line with relevant legislation (The National Minimum Standards and Regulations and within Care Today Policies and Procedures)
  • Device, monitor and put into practice children’s care plans in line with current legislation, individual needs and outcomes expected from the Every Child Matters document.
  • Act as key worker for a young person as agreed with the manager.
  • Work in co-operation with the team to ensure that young people make maximum use of their leisure time.
  • Ensure that young people are involved in the running of the Home and learn to take responsibility for themselves, the building and its content.
  • Take responsibility, as part of a team, for the day to day running of the house while on duty, in line with current Care Today Policies and Procedures.
  • Take responsibility for the upkeep of children’s files and trackers in line with CT Policies and Procedures & National Minimum Standards

Salary: £16,491 - £17,772

Requirements: Minimum Qualification Level 3 Diploma or Equivalent

Job Description:

  • Deal with admissions in line with current policies and procedures.
  • Act as key worker for a Young Person as agreed with the manager.
  • Ensure that young people are involved in the running of the House and learn to take responsibility both for themselves, the building and its content.
  • To attend case conferences, reviews etc. and provide written reports as requested.
  • Take responsibility, as part of a team, for the day to day running of the house while on duty, in line with current Care Today Policies and Procedures.
  • Work closely with the management team to monitor and control resources within the project as a whole.
  • Liaise with other agencies in order to support young people and meet their needs.
  • Seek out and monitor relevant activities/support for the benefit of young people's' overall development.
  • Take responsibility for the upkeep of children’s files in line with CT policies and procedures, NMS
  • Take an active role in maintaining an effective accounting system in line with current practice.
  • Attend staff/children’s meetings as required, usually weekly.

Salary: £16,781 - £19,430 + additional responsibility points

Requirements: Minimum qualification Level 3 Diploma or equivalent

Job Description:

  • Take Responsibility for the running of the house and petty cash whilst on duty
  • Prepare shopping list and monitor weekly provisions in line with budgetary allowances (in some homes in conjunction with the housekeeper)
  • Become involved in staff induction and training
  • Keep all records and communication systems up to date.
  • Provide written reports and reviews etc. as directed by the manager.
  • Deal with admissions in line with current policies and procedures.
  • Undertake children’s meetings and promote young people’s self awareness and independence ensuring that all Yps are treated as individuals and a positive family atmosphere is created.
  • To attend case conferences, reviews etc. and provide written reports as requested.

Salary: £18,070 - £22,658 + additional responsibility points

Requirements: Minimum qualification Level 3 Diploma or equivalent

Job Description:

  • Ensure Family or Significant Other “contact” is given high priority, encouraged, developed and maintained in line with the Child’s placement plan and/or LAC Care Plan, whilst helping carry this out.
  • Ensure the safeguarding and promoting of individual rights, providing good quality care which is free from oppression and where differences are respected and valued.
  • To work alongside the management team to recruit staff, develop, maintain and monitor staff training and development.
  • Ensuring that all developments are in line with Ofsted/DfE/Local Authority requirements (Education and Social Services) and that these are recognised by and carried out by the team.
  • Operate a budget system for the house and maintain an effective accounting system in line with current Caret Today/Parallel Parents policies and practices.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the home as a whole.
  • Active participation in the unit’s rota system.
  • To actively participate in supervision and undertake training and development as deemed appropriate by the management, this will involve carrying out staff supervisions.
  • Deputise for the manager in their absence (which involves familiarising yourself with the day to day duties of the Homes Registered Manager.

Locations: Staffordshire, Liverpool

Salary: £21,962 - £37,306 + bonuses, mileage scheme, benefits package

Main Duties:

  • Being responsible for the day to day running of the home
  • Ensuring the home complies with current legislation requirements
  • Providing ongoing support to all staff members and young people
  • Liaising with external bodies such as Local Authorities, Safeguarding Teams and Ofsted
  • Managing the homes’ budget and resources
  • Organising various training plans and helping the development of your staff team

Locations: Cheshire, Leicestershire

Salary: £21,962 to £32,486 + mileage scheme, training and development opportunities.

Main Duties:

  • Effectively implement and communicate to carers/teams the National Minimum Standards and reviewed at least annually) and children are admitted whose needs can be met within the placement.
  • Be responsible for administering allocated resources effectively, in a manner that delivers the best possible child care within agreed budgets through effective resourcefulness and appropriate management style.
  • Take timely and appropriately agreed action on Internal Monitoring (Schedule 7) reports regarding any "findings" which need addressing.
  • Ensure that care is provided in accordance with the Statement of Purpose and Function (which is Regulations for Children's Homes/Fostering Services 2002)
  • Recruit and Assess foster carers to Fostering Network and The National Minimum Standards for Fostering Services Standards and Regulations.
  • Ensure records of both carers and children meets legislative requirements regarding data protection and confidentiality guidelines.
  • Ensure notification to relevant bodies takes place for significant events including notifying relevant internal bodies as depicted in our own "Events & Notifications Chart" which encompasses Schedule 5 of the Minimum Standards & Regulations for Children's Homes and Schedule 8 of the Minimum Standards & Regulations for Fostering Services.
