I’m 14 years old and I’ve been living with my brothers and foster carers since January. There have been some changes since then. We have moved house (which means I get my own bedroom now) and I’ve moved to a new school not far away. I’ve also wanted to be more healthy and have been making better choices with food and have been doing activities like badminton, trampolining and Taekwondo, which I’m hoping to grade in again soon. When my foster carer told me he was taking part in the Santa Dash 5k run on 1st December, I really wanted to do it with him and even used my own pocket money for my entry fee. My foster carers told me about the great atmosphere there and that we could raise money for charity as well. I think it’s going to be fun and a good way to get fit! I’m looking forward to getting my suit and have been out on practice runs with my foster carer. It’s the first time I’ve done anything like this and I’m excited to take part. It’s really nice that some people from Parallel Parents are doing it with us too. It shows they care and take an interest in things we are doing and want to support us in that.
When we heard that this amazing young man wanted to get involved with the Santa dash, so much that he saved his pocket money up so he could take part we couldn't wait to get involved. So we rallied a team and are all very excited, we would love it if you could help us raise some money.
Please get involved and show your support.
