Meet the team
Shabina - Registered Manager of PP East

Shabina is the driving force behind our PP East branch in Bradford. With over a decade of experience at Parallel Parents, she spent ten years as a dedicated Supervising Social Worker, building deep-rooted relationships with our foster families across Yorkshire. In 2024, Shabina stepped into the role of Registered Manager, leading the expansion of our services through the opening of the new East branch. Her extensive frontline experience and passion for the Yorkshire community ensure that our carers receive expert, localized support.
Sonam - Yorkshire - Supervising Social Worker

Sonam joined the Parallel Parents team in 2025, bringing with her a strong foundation in child advocacy and support. Before joining the independent sector, she spent several years working within the Local Authority, where she gained invaluable experience navigating the complexities of the care system. Sonam chose to join Parallel Parents to focus her expertise on working directly with foster children and their carers. She is dedicated to providing high-quality supervision and ensuring our foster families feel empowered and supported every step of the way.
Jayne - Yorkshire - Support Worker

My name is Jayne. I have worked for Care today and Parallel parents for 17 years. My passion for this work began when I was a single parent and we all know how hard it is to find hobbies our children love. However my daughter found in line skating as her favourite pastime and taking her to the skatepark I met residential staff ,fostercarers and parents and some young people who over the weeks I built up a good relationship with,I was informed by a residential staff in another company to apply for a job which I did. I was able to support my daughter who became a world champion stunt skater and also get a degree in law which she does not use, however she also works with young people from Deprived areas and refuse education, we were able to travel to many beautiful places where she would compete. I feel I have helped many young people in lots of different ways and hopefully can continue. I don't know what job I would be doing now if it wasn't for listening to my daughters wishes and meeting all those young people.
