What is Therapeutic Traning Centre?

TTC is our therapeutic training company whose aim is to facilitate therapeutic practice throughout the Care Today & Parallel Parents organisation. Lead by our core team of therapists, we have developed our own therapeutic model: My World. We are now using this model to shape our practice and promote development across the board.

We are currently offering many training opportunities for our staff to develop in various roles, if they want to take a therapeutic path!

My World

My world is our therapeutic model which spans across all aspects of a child or young persons daily living situation. It requires that the relationships between the different parts involved are fully integrated into the model.  Our approach is knitted in and blended in throughout our policies and procedures, as well as staff culture.

Our model is rooted in the ‘whole system’ (family and group systems) therapeutic tradition which emerged from the psychoanalytic movement. Our fostering and residential homes seek to create a ‘holding environment’ in which children and young people can safely think about their trauma, experience feelings about it, and take steps towards recovery, supported by all the individuals involved in their life and care, or who make up their world.
