Suzanne - Registered Manager of PP West

PP Picture frame.png

Hi, my name is Suzanne and I am the registered manager for PP West.

I have worked with children and young people for over 30 years, and I've worked for Care Today and Parallel Parents for 25 years. During my time here I've been given lots of opportunities to grow and develop, and have previously worked as a residential manager for Care Today.

As a supervising social worker I have had the most amazing opportunities to see children grow and develop and have loved being a part of carers' and children's journeys. Developing positive relationships and having an understanding of the children I work with allows me to be able to give insight and support to carers.

It has been a pleasure and an honour to be part of so many children's lives and I hope it continues for many more years to come!

Dave - Registered Manager of PP West

Hello, my name is Dave and I've been a Supervising Social Worker with Parallel Parents since 2016.

My role with Parallel Parents allows me to work with some amazing children, carers and birth children. It's a pleasure to be part of the journey, supporting from the assessment process, to approval and then through to fostering where together, we really can make a difference.

Emma - Lancashire - Supervising Social Worker

Emma is one of our Supervising Social Workers and Designated Sensory Needs Practitioner for Parallel Parents and Care Today. Emma has 14 years of lived experience with her own children who have sensory difficulties alongside ADHD and autism. Emma has also completed her Masters Degree in Children with Autism and is currently completing a PhD to explore behaviours and diagnosis. Emma has also recently been awarded a Sensory Needs Practitioner Award due to her experience and strengths in her role.

While Emma has already been supporting the organisation for some time, the support she has offered to so many families is so valuable that we have decided to build Emma her own hub to support all families, carers, Care Today staff and young people.

Jaki - Merseyside - Supervising Social Worker

PP Picture frame.png

Hi my name is Jaki and I've been a Supervising Social Worker with Parallel Parents since 2019.

Prior to my role at Parallel parents I was a residential care worker for care today for five years. (The sister company for Parallel parents). Here, I gained experience and knowledge around working with children and young people.

As a supervising social worker I support foster carers, birth children and children in care.
The role I provide allows me to work alongside some amazing young people and foster carers and it is so rewarding watching the young people grow and flourish. 🌼🌷🌸

My role enables me to provide support during the stages of initial enquiry, through the assessment process and then ongoing support for the fostering family.

I love my role in supporting families to have a better future.

Hi, my name is Rachel. I have recently joined PP West as a social worker in 2024. Prior to my role within Parallel Parents, I was in Care Today as a residential support worker, alongside my studies in University, where I did my placement with Local Authority children's services.

I was grateful for the opportunity to join PP west alongside the team and the managers, and meet the amazing and committed foster carers that are part of the company. I look forward to recruiting my own carers and supporting the children and young people as part of their journey with PP West.

Dan - Lancashire - Supervising Social Worker
