Feel like you don't belong, For what ever reason it feels wrong Adopted or taken into foster care, Waiting for a new family, you don't know where.

Sent to a new home, other children are waiting, Don't want to get settled; don't want to go on hating Other children are there to meet, a new room to sleep in, A family for you? A new life to begin.

Sent to many different homes, passed from pillar to post, Just want to be settled, want a family of your own the most. Settled into your new home, knowledge of your past you lack,

A family with brothers or sisters, you may want to know it all, or never look back!

This poem was written by one of our foster carers from the perspective of a foster child.
