Fostering in Staffordshire
Want to join our fostering team of almost 30 families in Staffordshire? While our head office is based in Stockport, our team of social workers and foster carers includes many in Stoke and surrounding areas. We're looking for carers to join our family, especially in and around Stoke-on-trent, Congleton, Kidsgrove, Biddulph, Leek, Stone and most areas in between!
I started fostering with Parallel Parents after it was recommended to me by a very experienced carer couple. They had been foster carers with multiple agencies but once they switched to PP they never left. Their praise was well founded, the agency has a great approach.
The stoke team in particular are dedicated and passionate about supporting both me, and the child in my care. There is a real family, team playing atmosphere to all communication and I always feel well supported.
Since starting my fostering journey, I feel a sense of accomplishment and privilege to be able to start to make a difference in a child or young persons life. There are lots of challenges along the way, but seeing the child in your care come out of their shell as they begin to relax and feel safe with you makes it all worthwhile.
